Tiles for Hope (Mahjong Club)

Purpose

The Tiles For Hope Club is a public purpose club dedicated to teaching students and senior citizens the art of Mahjong, an ancient Chinese tile-based game rooted in skill, strategy, and luck while strengthening interpersonal bonds among communities. We organize and lead volunteer groups at memory care facilities and local retirement centers to uplift seniors by bringing people together and sharpening their cognitive agility. We also promote empathy for the elderly through our advocacy initiative, the Senior Stories Project, which features videos of seniors sharing life stories and experiences.
